Barbara Kennedy Artwork

Barbara Kennedy is an artist who captures the light, the form and the essence of nature and interprets its beauty and depth.  She seems to transform it for us to better understand it, to really see it.  Her eye grasps detail and clarifies it, empowers it, making it bolder and more subtle at the same time.  Her touch is light and yet very outspoken and she forces us to pay closer attention, to attend to the beauty that is all around us.  There is no doubt that this is an artist who has made her mark.  She understands nature and sings its indelible song in no uncertain terms.  She hears its harmonies and its many nuances, takes inspiration from its nourishment, and renders its message to us in varying interpretations, as numerous as they are unique.  Each medium, each resource, each note, each color, each line, each shadow, each beat, each movement, is a creation, an interpretation, a song to be sung.  This woman's heart beats loud and clear, sings out to us to harken, to see, to really see, the beauty that is life.  ~Anna Harrison
